I think yes.
I decided that I wanted to try my hand in making an iPhone case out of wood.
It was difficult to say the least. It took two try's to get it right. The first had a lot of problems with pieces breaking off, and holes not being lined up because everything was measured with the phone facing the wrong way. Once I figured out how to measure and set things up properly I tried again and it was successful at least I think so. I know not everything is perfect in the shapes and cutouts, but that is what gives it the steampunk character.

Inside the Blunderbus
This gun started out as a rubberband gun. I added some various gauges and then a 3 in pipe with some ends. I used some of the locktite two part putty to attach a lot of the devices. Some pieces are screwed on to attach. I also added a battery pack to run a few wires to a switch behind the trigger. This eventually will become the power source for the led's i'm going to install inside the barrel to make it glow. I have since removed the chain and handle in the front to make it look better. This gun attaches to my backpack to give it the feel of a steam powered fireball launcher.

Steampunk
Soooo....... I decided (on a wild tangent and a streak of not having a project to do) to try my hand in doing some steampunk stuffs. Of course in true Jason fashion I took it way to far and never quit. I made way to many things and am still going. I forgot to take some pictures along the way, but at least I got some of the finished products. I'll make sure my next big gun the one that has been in my mind from the beginning it will have pictures of progress and finished. The first time time I ever heard of steampunk I thought about making the gun I will be doing next.
Here are the works I have done so far.
